Cast your mind back to April 29. That is the day you received my last post on the trip Pam & I took to the Southwestern USA, a trip pivoting around seeing several national parks. Following that post, my blogging took a hit. The remaining days of the trip where sufficiently busy that I did not have time to write about them. When we got home, I was swept up into more pressing issues and from there I just moved further and further away from getting the remaining posts done. This is not to say that I did not orbit back to the project periodically, but I did not make much headway.
[As a brief aside, it was interesting to me how much less time I had to work on this blog during the trip because there was no down time comparable to the sea days we have when we are on a cruise. The same was true of our land trip to Cuba several years ago.]

We leave on our next trip this Saturday (October 05) and it would just be wrong to turn my attention to the associated blog without having this one done. So I've been in a sort of (hopefully you guessed this from the illustration) The Pit and The Pendulum, an admittedly self-induced stress that has served as a good motivator.
I am still working on the last post, but am going to have them all posted before we walk out the door on Saturday.
