After a leisurely breakfast we took an Uber to the Desert Botanical Museum; a drive of about 25 minutes.

We wandered around for a couple of hours. It was a great opportunity to see cacti and other desert plants. We also went into the museum's lepidopterarium.
The Uber rides over and back was pricey, but thanks to our Holden Forests & Gardens membership and hence to American a Horticulture Society reciprocal privileges, admission was free.
Back at the resort we spent some time by the pool, then reorganized our bags for day-to- day use rather than distance traveling.
At 5:30, we met our fellow tour members for the first time. After a briefing by our tour director Lindsay Hubbard and and usual awkward round of introductions, we adjourned as a group to the same restaurant Pam & I ate at yesterday, this time being there to watch the sun set on Phoenix.
After a good dinner we called it a night in anticipation of a long-ish day of bus travel and touring tomorrow.
